Modern fitness spaces are no longer designed around equipment alone. Today, dynamic gym lighting plays an important role in creating memorable workout experiences where architecture, music and programmable DMX lighting work together to motivate visitors.
Located in Huizen, the Netherlands, Black Phantom Gym was designed around this philosophy. Instead of relying on conventional white lighting, the interior features programmable RGBW lighting that brings energy and character to every training space. Circular ceiling fixtures, continuous linear lighting and carefully integrated indirect illumination create a bold visual language inspired by nightlife and live events.
Behind the installation is a professional DMX lighting control system that gives operators complete flexibility over every lighting zone. Lighting scenes can be adjusted throughout the day to suit different activities, combining dynamic RGBW effects with smooth dimming and reliable performance to create a seamless experience for both visitors and staff.
Dynamic Lighting Designed Around the Fitness Experience
Lighting plays a central role in the identity of Black Phantom Gym. Rather than serving only as functional illumination, it helps define each training area and reinforces the atmosphere that makes the gym stand out.
Suspended illuminated rings act as the project's signature feature, while continuous linear LED lighting highlights the building's architecture and creates visual connections between different workout zones. Carefully programmed RGBW scenes introduce movement and variation, allowing the environment to evolve without changing the physical space.
Unlike traditional gym lighting, every lighting scene can be adapted to match the energy of the space. Bright colours can enhance high-intensity workouts, while more subtle lighting creates a calmer environment during quieter periods. This flexibility allows the gym to respond to different moments throughout the day while maintaining a consistent visual identity.
Delivering this level of flexibility required a lighting control system capable of reliable communication, smooth dimming and intuitive operation. The installation combines several LTECH DMX and RF control solutions, each contributing to stable performance across the entire project.
LTECH DMX 3CH Signal Amplifier (LT-123)
The LT-123 DMX signal amplifier strengthens and distributes DMX signals across larger installations, maintaining reliable communication between lighting zones while preventing signal degradation.
LTECH Q4 RGBW RF Remote
The LTECH Q4 remote allows intuitive wireless control of RGBW lighting scenes. Staff can easily adjust colors, brightness and presets without requiring complex programming.
LTECH EBOX-DMX-PRO RF Receiver
The EBOX-DMX-PRO bridges wireless RF control with the DMX lighting network, allowing flexible operation while preserving professional DMX performance.
LTECH F4-5A RF Receiver
The F4-5A constant-voltage receiver provides independent RGBW channel control for LED strips throughout the gym, enabling smooth dimming and precise color transitions.
Together these components create a lighting system that is both reliable for everyday operation and flexible enough to adapt the atmosphere whenever required.
