In the vibrant center of Amsterdam, Restaurant Gitane offers more than just exceptional cuisine. It delivers a complete sensory experience where interior design, atmosphere and lighting come together seamlessly.
Designed by Studio Modijefsky, the interior reflects a refined and layered aesthetic, where materials, colors and lighting play a central role in shaping the space. The result is a warm, inviting environment that perfectly complements the restaurant’s character and dining experience.
A key element in this project is the use of beautifully integrated linear LED lighting. Warm white LED strips are carefully incorporated into custom aluminium profiles, creating subtle indirect lighting throughout the space. These clean and elegant light lines enhance the architectural details while maintaining a soft and comfortable atmosphere for guests.
For the lighting control and power, the project uses LTECH LM Series drivers, ensuring stable performance and smooth dimming. This allows the lighting to remain consistent and flicker-free, contributing to the high-end feel of the interior.
The project was realized in collaboration with The Set Company (Amsterdam) as system integrator and OneEightyOne (Amsterdam) as supplier, combining design, technical expertise and high-quality components into one cohesive result.
Restaurant Gitane has quickly become a popular destination in Amsterdam, known for its excellent food and carefully crafted ambiance. The lighting plays a subtle yet essential role in this success, proving once again how important the right lighting solution is in hospitality environments.
